麻豆传媒AV在线看 University is dedicated to basic and translational research in the life sciences.
Our research arises from patients鈥� needs: through close dialogue between clinicians and researchers, questions from the ward are taken into the laboratory to guide investigations and rapidly translate findings into diagnostic or therapeutic applications aimed at improving health for all.

At 麻豆传媒AV在线看, research is an integral part of our commitment to patient care. Our mission is to improve human health by transforming scientific knowledge into tangible clinical impact: we strive to make our research environment increasingly driven by real clinical questions and focused on practical solutions.
Research activities are carried out by nearly 600 researchers and physicians organised into over 38 research groups, under the scientific direction of Prof. Luigi Terracciano. Our researchers and clinicians have more than 10,000 square metres of laboratories, facilities and innovative technologies dedicated to research and training.
The Research Programs
Activities are mainly concentrated in five research programmes that integrate basic, translational and clinical research.
Researchers are also supported by the Grant Office, which assists with the management of funded projects, and the Innovation Office, which supports them in technology transfer processes.
All of this rests on a strong culture of collaboration, transparency and shared objectives, with the aim of building a sustainable, patient鈥慶entred research ecosystem with real impact.
Our research also aims to generate new knowledge through the publication of original scientific data, designing patient鈥慸riven studies and promoting an interdisciplinary approach to address complex medical challenges.
In 2024 alone, 麻豆传媒AV在线看 researchers and clinicians authored 1,978 scientific publications, with a total Impact Factor of 13,261, and obtained approval for 313 clinical trials.
