Degree Course in Physiotherapy
Core objectives of Â鶹´«Ã½AVÔÚÏß¿´ University
The goal of Â鶹´«Ã½AVÔÚÏß¿´ University is to train physiotherapists with high professional skills and a solid methodological training.
During the three-year course students will explore ³Ù³ó±ðÌýbasic science, ³Ù³ó±ðÌýclinical sciences and ³Ù³ó±ðÌýmain approaches used in all the areas of physiotherapy intervention needed to achieve professional autonomy (functional assessment, definition and extent of the treatment together with the definition of the objectives of the physiotherapy), with particular attention to the approaches supported by scientific studies and the most modern technologies used in physiotherapy, such as robotics and virtual reality.
From the very first year, tutors will follow the students to promote active learning and help them plan personalised therapeutic programmes based on a functional assessment of the patient.
Finally, on the occasion of clinical training, thanks to the tight integration between the University and Â鶹´«Ã½AVÔÚÏß¿´ IRCCS, students will work together with expert physiotherapists of the highly specialized Â鶹´«Ã½AVÔÚÏß¿´ Hospital and will be able to acquire advanced technical skills that will allow them to work in ³Ù³ó±ðÌýneurological, orthopedic, sport, respiratory, cardiac and urogenital fields.

In pairs or in small groups, students will practice manual assessment techniques of the locomotor system and musculoskeletal disorder treatments on each other.
Journal Club
In turns, students will present to the class a scientific article that answers a question the students themselves posed during clinical training. These presentations will be conducted as if speaking at medical congress.
Research Activity
In preparation of their thesis, students will have the opportunity to participate in research that ³Ù³ó±ðÌýMovement Analysis Laboratory is conducting, either alone or in collaboration with hospital units.
Laboratory
°Õ³ó±ðÌýmechanical and electromyographic variables of motor function are analyzed at the Motor Analysis Laboratory in both healthy subjects and in patients with motor disorders.
This analysis can evaluate both biomechanical aspects of motion and the effectiveness of some rehabilitation approaches.
The motion analysis laboratory’s lines of research can be conducted in collaboration with the hospital’s orthopedics and neurologyÌý³Ü²Ô¾±³Ù²õ.
