Students, specializing doctors and surgery assistants had the opportunity to investigate different surgical techniques using advanced laparoscopic simulators that faithfully reproduced the anatomy of the abdomen.聽Each participant had a personalized agenda of simulations, based on its needs and its knowledge of the different surgery techniques.
During the training real surgical instruments have been used, while silicone models reproduced the anatomy of abdomen, making the simulation even more realistic.
Experienced physicians practiced also on a single-port model, that allows to introduce in the abdomen all surgical instruments through a single, minimum incision in the navel; a minimally invasive technique able to guarantee an optimal result from the aesthetic point of view.
