The dialogue will lead into a theatrical adaptation performed by actress Anna Bonaiuto, based on the novel Virdimura (Guanda, 2024) by Simona Lo Iacono, which recounts the story of the first documented woman physician, active in 14th-century Catania and dedicated to treating women鈥檚 illnesses at a time when they were still little understood.
