His clinical and research turned mainly to the development of new approach for colorectal cancer screening, mainly focusing on clinical validation, cost-effectiveness and decision-making, as well as for prevention of upper GI-cancer, including endoscopic and medical treatment of pre-malignant gastric conditions and Barrett oesophagus.
