My research focuses on quantitative PET/CT imaging, with particular emphasis on dynamic acquisitions, kinetic modelling, and parametric imaging in oncology.
My work aims to improve tumour characterisation and therapy response assessment by exploiting the spatial and temporal information embedded in dynamic PET data. My main research lines include the development and validation of advanced reconstruction strategies, voxel-wise kinetic analysis, and the modelling and optimisation of short-duration dynamic PET/CT protocols.
I currently lead a project dedicated to the development of PET-based metabolic biomarkers for precision diagnostics, with a strong focus on robust acquisition protocols and reproducible analysis pipelines. My research integrates physical modelling with advanced computational methods to support the clinical translation of quantitative PET imaging.
As part of my commitment to open and reproducible research, I have released PyPatlak, an open-source Python tool for Patlak modelling directly from PET DICOM data, available on my GitHub page: .
