Nel 1992 ha fondato il suo laboratorio al Centro di Farmacologia Cellulare e Molecolare del CNR. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nel 2002 \u00e8 diventata Professore Associato di Farmacologia presso l\u2019Universit\u00e0 di Milano e dal 2011 \u00e8 Professore Ordinario. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attualmente \u00e8 Direttore del programma di Neuroscienze presso l\u2019Istituto Clinico 麻豆传媒AV在线看 e Professore Ordinario di Farmacologia ad 麻豆传媒AV在线看 University. Ha ottenuto premi allo studio da EMBO e IBRO-MacArthur; nel 2013 ha ricevuto dalla rivista scientifica internazionale Nature il premio Mid Career Nature Mentoring Award e nel 2015 il Premio Atena per i risultati scientifici; \u00e8 membro di EMBO e dell\u2019Academia Europaea per gli straordinari risultati ottenuti; \u00e8 membro del Consiglio della Scuola di Neuroscienze di Parigi, della Fondazione Armenise Harvard, del Centro di Psichiatria e Neuroscienze di INSERM e dell\u2019Universit\u00e0 di Paris-Descartes, di Fondazione Veronesi e Fondazione Volta. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>E\u2019 stata coordinatore o partner in diversi network scientifici internazionali, tra cui NATO, HFSP e EC-FP7. La sua attivit\u00e0 di ricerca \u00e8 finanziata anche da Telethon, Cariplo, Ministero della Salute e Ministero dell\u2019Universit\u00e0 e Ricerca. Matteoli \u00e8 nell\u2019Editorial Board e reviewer ad hoc per diverse riviste scientifiche, tra cui Science, Nature, PNAS, EMBO Journal, Neuron, TINS, Journal of Cell Biology, Journal of Neuroscience. E\u2019 autore di oltre 120 pubblicazioni con un impact factor medio di 7. Il suo H index \u00e8 50 (top Italian scientists).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-hunimed-tabs-content-tab tabs-content-tab\"><div class=\"tab-item\" data-tab-title=\"Ricerca\"><div class=\"tab-header\"><button class=\"tab-nav\" role=\"tab\" aria-selected=\"false\"><span class=\"tab-title\">Ricerca<\/span><\/button><\/div><div class=\"tab-content\" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<p>Synapses are fundamental brain structures that mediate information transfer between nerve cells; they control all body functions and all aspects of cognition, including attention, perception, learning, decision making, as well as mood and affect. Many psychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders are synaptopathies, i.e. pathological conditions where the molecular and cellular pathways operating at the synapse are dysregulated. Interestingly, inflammation has long-term consequences and could speculatively modify the risk and\/or severity of a variety of brain diseases.
